There's No One Right Way to Learn a Language (with Luke Thompson)

I wrote a book about language learning based on my personal experiences of learning English. 

Each chapter ends with the same sentence: “This is how to learn a language”. But each chapter disagrees with the next.

Which chapter tells the truth? All of them.

“You shouldn’t aim at sounding like a native.” True. Good advice. I agree. “You should aim at sounding like a native.” True. Good advice. I agree with that too.

Every piece of advice is a specific tool for a specific situation. So you’re free to choose what tool to use according to your own unique situation.

You’re free to choose your own path.

On YouTube they tell you what you should or shouldn’t do to learn. Listen to everyone. But then decide for yourself.
